Calving season is a breeze this year !!
YES,,,Thats a white face calf. YES,,, It was intentional. YES,,, she is cute, isnt she !! Some of our commercial angus cattle were bred to club calf bulls last year, this calf out of Carpe Deim, was both first of March. Great weather for calving this year, 70’s, 80’s and even a 92 was great weather for babies being born… we must have bred to good bulls, haven’t pulled a calf this year, my fingers are crossed…
Wet Spring, but who’s complaining !!!
It started in late January, with two inches of wet snow, every drop soaked in…. Now in april, just 90 days later, we have had over 9 inches of rain. Every three or four days, we will get another 1/2 inch to inch of rain… over Easter weekend, we received almost two inches. Pastures are green and growing and wheat is heading out,,, thats not good !!
